Newmarket Rides

A landscape of rolling chalk valleys, pockets of ancient woodland, seasonal streams and picture perfect clusters of thatched lime-washed cottages – the area between Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds is special in so many ways.

Follow three circuits of 8-9 miles each between the villages of Moulton, Gazeley and Barrow.
Alton Water Cycle Track

Enjoy the tranquillity of Alton Reservoir, see the sights of the reservoir and wildlife from the vantage point of a bicycle saddle, bring your own or hire one. Explore the nature trail with its woodland ponds and bird hide on the south shore.

Thetford Forest Park

Thetford Forest with its many cycle tracks is a brillant place for off-road cycling. With something for everyone from beginners to die-hard experts. For the beginners green trail you only need to be able to ride a bike to enjoy this gentley sloping route, for the dies-hards there is the adrenalin rush of the black trail with its hills, thrills, bumps and bruises.
Cycle South Suffolk - Bures

The Cycle South Suffolk route will take you through some of the prettiest countryside in Suffolk. The route is designed for the leisure cyclist and is made up of six circular routes of varying lengths. These can be cycled individually or you can take whichever bits you like to make a longer ride. The whole route is signposted so you shouldn't get lost!
