The Suffolk Coastal Cycle Route is a circular signed route from Felixstowe to Dunwich on quiet roads along the coast before looping inland via the market towns of Framlingham and Woodbridge. The full route is 88 miles (142 km) long, ideal for weekend tours, and there are many opportunities for detours and short cuts to make day rides, including off-road tracks in three forests. Much of the route lies within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A fully revised and updated (Autumn 2009) route pack includes maps based on Ordnance Survey ‘Landranger’ series and 3 forest maps based on the ‘Explorer’ series. There is useful information about places of interest along the way plus accommodation and campsite listings. The Heart of Suffolk Cycle Route has been created for those who enjoy the pleasure of cycling in the countryside. The route uses mostly quiet lanes along its 80 mile (125 km) length and is signed in both directions, ideal for someone who simply wants a few hours of casual cycling, or a long distance cyclist wanting to explore the Suffolk countryside. The Painters' Trail is a 69 mile (111 km) route, with various short cuts, using a mixture of quiet roads, cycle paths and well-surfaced tracks exploring locations that were made famous by local artists, such as Constable, Munnings and Gainsborough. The guide can be obtained from Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley Project and costs just £3.50.
