With over 5,000km of waymarked paths, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, long distance footpaths and national cycle routes, Suffolk offers a wealth of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors.

Within this website you will find inspiration on everything from a riverside stroll for all the family to a day long hike along secluded valleys. If you want ideas for off-road cycling, suggestions for horse riding trails, or want to know the best places to watch wildlife, we have something to capture your imagination. You'll find helpful information on country parks, nature reserves and picnic sites, suggestions on exploring the county by bus and train and even suggested itineraries that combine a lovely walk with a great lunch and some shopping.
