Suffolk is very accessible by road. The A12, A14, A11 and A140 provide the main routes across the county. The scenic A1120 Tourist Route connects Stowmarket and Yoxford along winding roads and past numerous visitor attractions through picturesque Saxsted and Peasenhall.

Public Transport - Suffolk On Board

There are very good public transport links throughout Suffolk and you can easily reach most of the county by bus or train.
For details of all train services visit the National Express website. The East Suffolk Line website has details on train services and stations between Ipswich and Lowestoft, and walks from Trimley and Felixstowe stations.

Community Transport

In addition to bus and train services there are also a number of bookable community taxi-bus services available. CoastLink serves the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and can collect you off scheduled train services or from scheduled bus services taking you to a number of popular destinations, including the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, the National Trust at Dunwich Heath, Dunwich Forest, Walberswick National Nature Reserve and the villages of Dunwich, Theberton and Walberswick.

Halesworth Pathfinder serves the north east of the county in the Halesworth, Blyth Valley and Saints area. Diss and District Borderhoppa serves the north of the county in the Diss, Eye, Stradbroke and Harleston area. The Brecks Bus operates Monday to Fridays, 09.00-16.00, helping you to get out in the countryside around Brandon and Thetford.
