Introduction
The beautiful Stour Valley Path runs between Newmarket in the far west of the county near the source of the River Stour, to Cattawade in the far south east where the river joins the estuary at the border with Essex. Along the way walkers can enjoy the lush tranquil countryside in this stunning part of Suffolk, passing through areas of historical interest and the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Dedham Vale AONB & Stour Valley Project have created a comprehensive guide to the Stour Valley Path which can be downloaded as a whole or in sections, or can be obtained from visitor centres, local outlets, and from the Dedham Vale AONB & Stour Valley Project themselves.
