Brandon Country Park

Easy Going Trails

Introduction

Brandon Country Park sits in the heart of The Brecks on the Suffolk–Norfolk border, surrounded by the vast expanse of Thetford Forest. Spread across more than 30 acres of managed parkland, it blends natural beauty with rich history, featuring ornamental lawns, a peaceful lake, a Victorian walled garden and the striking flint‑knapped Gothic mausoleum built by Edward Bliss in the 1800s. Open from dawn to dusk all year, the park offers a tranquil escape shaped by centuries of landscape design and forestry heritage.

Visitors can explore miles of woodland and heathland on three waymarked trails, ranging from the gentle one‑mile red route to the more challenging five‑and‑a‑half‑mile orange trail. Along the way, you can discover the arboretum’s exotic trees, wander through the historic Walled Garden, enjoy play areas for all ages, spot wildlife or relax with refreshments at the Copper Beech Café. Whether you’re walking, cycling, picnicking or simply soaking up the scenery, the park offers a peaceful and varied day out for all ages.

Please check Brandon Country Park Website for further visitor information including opening times and facilities.
