A 4½ mile circular walk starting from New Green Community Centre, where you will find a popular community cafe with customer toilets. The leaflet also features a longer option walk of 6½ miles.
Thurston, like most settlements in England, has grown and changed greatly since it was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. Don’t miss the Cavendish Hall built in 1914 as a memorial to Tyrell Cavendish who lost his life on board the Titanic in 1912. The route enjoys St Peter’s Church, dating back to the 14th century and St Mary’s Church in Pakenham with its octangle tower. Both churches are open daily.
