A 3 mile circular walk starting from Troston Village Hall. The leaflet features 2 walks that can be combined to make a longer hike exploring Troston and Great Livermere.
The village lies on the route between the possible site of the martyrdom of St Edmund and the Saint’s final resting place in Bury St Edmund’s Abbey. Inside Troston’s St Mary’s Church are wall paintings depicting the martyrdom. Don’t miss Troston Hall which was home to Capel Lofft (1751-1824).
